Did you know that this Friday is the second of November?  Wow.  I  
guess I didn't.

Anyway:

This Friday, November 2, at 8 o'clock, Jonathan Byrd performs at May  
Memorial.

The prototype of the minstrel and storyteller, Jonathan Byrd blends  
traditional styles and modern sensibilities as he spins his tales of  
love, life and death in America. His stunning instrumental work and  
soulful singing, full of surprises and spontaneity, give each of his  
live performances its own magic.

To continue our celebration of local musicians, we'll welcome to the  
stage Larry Hoyt, who hosts WAER's folk & acoustic music show,  
"Common Threads."
